Awakening Heart Awareness draws from psychology and other disciplines, but it approaches change somewhat differently than traditional therapy. Rather than focusing primarily on managing symptoms or coping more effectively with the results of recurring patterns, this work centers on understanding the patterns themselves and bringing them into clearer awareness.
When these patterns become visible, many people discover that new responses and perspectives begin to emerge naturally.
-
No. Many people begin this work not because something is “wrong,” but because they want greater clarity, understanding, or freedom in how they meet life. Awakening Heart Awareness can be supportive during difficult periods, but it is equally valuable as a space for thoughtful reflection, personal insight, and meaningful growth.

Our patterns live just outside of our field of awareness. It often takes another person looking with us to bring them into clearer view.
It’s easy to misidentify patterns because they don’t appear on the surface of our experience.
For example, someone is drinking a lot, and they may identify the pattern as addiction. However, addiction is the result of the pattern.
The pattern is identified under what’s presenting on the surface. When what’s happening under the result is brought into clear view, new information can be presented, allowing our systems to naturally reorganize.

What is often described as self-sabotage is rarely intentional. More often, it reflects a pattern that is attempting to maintain something familiar—whether that is a belief, an emotional response, or a way of interpreting experience.
These patterns can influence decisions and behaviors in subtle ways, even when they conflict with what we consciously want.
When these patterns are observed with clarity, many people begin to understand their responses more deeply, allowing different choices to become possible.

Many experiences in life follow patterns that operate just outside our conscious awareness. These patterns can influence how we interpret situations, respond emotionally, and relate to others.
When patterns remain unseen, they can continue shaping our experiences in familiar ways.
Through careful observation and conversation, these patterns can become clearer, allowing new possibilities for responding to life and choices.

Many thoughtful people arrive with significant self-awareness. They may be able to describe the challenges they experience or recognize recurring situations in their lives. Often, however, what is being described is the outcome of a pattern rather than the pattern itself. In conversation, deeper patterns can become visible—patterns that may have been difficult to observe alone.
-
Rather than relying primarily on techniques or strategies, Awakening Heart Awareness focuses on bringing the patterns shaping experience into clear awareness.
As these patterns become visible, many people discover that reactions which once felt automatic begin to soften.
Over time, individuals often find themselves responding to life with greater clarity, understanding, and freedom.

Periods of transition or personal growth can sometimes feel unsettling.
When individuals begin outgrowing certain patterns, it is not uncommon to experience temporary feelings of uncertainty, irritability, or reflection.
Much like the growing pains of childhood, these experiences can signal that something within us is reorganizing into a new way of being.
Working with another who’s able to maintain the regulation and stability as changes occur, keeps individuals from sliding back into familiar patterns during times of change and uncertainty.
-
As patterns that remain right outside of our field awareness, come into clearer view, a deeper intelligence begins reorganizing our system.
This process or reorganization can be experienced at first as unsettling, disorienting, and even like a personal or spiritual crisis at times.
When this happens the natural impulse is to return to the old pattern as unexpected old emotional reactions may surface. In this way, the patterns tends to repeat and little change is experienced.
The relationship held within Awakening Heart Awareness with Courtney allows you to move through this process more effectively, allowing yourself to establish yourself in your new experiential structure.
